Trinidad, Cuba – Hardships, challenges, warmth and resilience.
These photographs were taken during my June 2025 visit to Trinidad, Cuba, a city that feels suspended in time. Founded in the early 16th century and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Trinidad is renowned for its beautifully preserved colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, pastel-colored facades, and vibrant public squares.
In the photographs below, I chose to portray this vibrant and colorful city in black and white, using the absence of color to draw attention to the hardships and realities faced by many of its inhabitants.
Daily life already reflected the economic hardships facing many Cubans. Yet amid the challenges, I encountered remarkable warmth, resilience, and dignity.
Looking back at these images today, I find myself wondering how these people are doing.

A walk in Puerto Escondido – February 2023
Puerto Escondido has a way of slowing time—and that’s exactly what I tried to capture through my lens. Armed with a Canon 6D and a Canon EF 35mm f/2, I focused on keeping things simple, letting the light and the rhythm of the coast do the heavy lifting. The 35mm perspective felt just right: wide enough to embrace the sweeping beaches and golden sunsets, yet intimate enough to tell quiet stories.
What stood out most was the light. Soft mornings with a gentle haze, followed by dramatic golden hours that seemed to stretch forever. The 6D handled it beautifully, especially in low light, preserving details without losing that natural feel. I kept my approach minimal—no overthinking, no staging—just observing and reacting.
These photos aren’t just about a destination; they’re about a mood. Puerto Escondido is raw, warm, and effortlessly photogenic. And sometimes, all you need is a simple setup and a good eye to let a place speak for itself.

Five reasons you should develop your prints with your photographer
Delivering the wedding pictures to the client as digital files on a CD/DVD has become a common thing, whether it is at an extra charge or not and whether wedding photographers want to admit it or not. From the client’s perspective, beside getting a beautiful wedding album from their photographer, having access to their wedding digital files in high resolution is very important. But one important thing clients tend to forget is that getting the high resolution files and developing them themselves will not necessarily produce the same quality prints as those developed by their photographer. Here’s why:

Brazil Night: Paulo Ramos
I had the privilege to shoot a live concert for the charismatic and captivating Brazilian singer and composer, Paulo Ramos, last Saturday, as part of the “Montreal High Lights Festival” in L’Astral Hall.
The group of musicians, singers and Samba dancers who accompanied Paulo, were as enchanting!I had to find my spot among the crowd and from time to time walk around to get different point of views.
Check out Paulo Ramos website at http://www.pauloramos.net… and here are some photos from the event:
